Your Ledger journey starts here

Own your
digital future.

A few simple steps are all that stand between you and a more confident way to manage your crypto. Let’s get your Ledger set up.

Your recovery phrase belongs to you. Always.

Security that starts
with you.

Your Ledger device keeps your private keys offline, away from the everyday risks of an internet-connected screen. That means you can approve transactions with confidence while staying in control of your assets.

Think of setup as creating your own secure starting point. You’ll check your device, choose a PIN, and write down a recovery phrase that only you should ever see. Take your time: the safest setup is the one you understand.

Ready when you are

From unboxing
to ownership.

Keep your device close and follow each step on its screen. Ledger Live guides you through the process at your own pace.

01

Check your device

Unbox your Ledger and inspect the packaging. A Ledger device is not shipped with a pre-filled recovery phrase. If one is included, stop and contact official Ledger Support.

03

Create your safeguards

Set a PIN directly on your device and carefully write down the recovery phrase it generates. Verify every word and store the phrase offline somewhere private and secure.

Take it one step at a time. Ledger Live will help you find your way.

Keep your keys yours

Your recovery phrase
is never for sharing.

Your 24-word recovery phrase is the master key to your crypto. Ledger will never ask you to type it into a website, app, or message. Anyone who gets it can access your assets.

  • 01 Enter it only on your Ledger device when prompted.
  • 02 Never photograph it, save it online, or share it.
  • 03 Treat urgent messages and support impersonators with caution.
